Husistein Musik (SUI)

Husistein Musik (SUI)The original Husistein-Musik was a lineage of musicians popular in Switzerland’s Lucerne region during the late 19th to early 20th centuries. Somehow an appreciation of what exactly they had played died. In 2014 the Archäologisches Museum Schötz unearthed unexpectedly three books of their dance tunes handwritten by Jakob Steger (born 1849). They contained some 150 dance tunes and a further 50 operetta and salon music items. This quintet is breathing new life into that repertoire of polka, waltz, schottische, mazurka and gallop.
