LA-33 (COL)Colombia’s Orquesta La 33 took their name from Calle 33 in Teusaquillo, the 13th localidad (‘district’) of Bogotá. Called La-33 for short, they are the royal standard bearer for the kingdom of salsa dura – a version of salsa that places instrumental work over vocals. Since 2001 La-33 has boldly blended mambo, jazz and pasodoble influences and they don’t shy away from funk, boogaloo, reggae and rock in creating their unique blast of urban salsa. For lovers and salsa lovers alike!
