Die höchste Eisenbahn (DEU)

Die höchste Eisenbahn (DEU)‘Höchste Eisenbahn’ is a pun in German. You say it when it really is about time. Literally, it conjures an image of a train (= Eisenbahn) riding high (= hoch) above the ground. Say, on stilts. Imagine Berlin or New York. It was that type of image which inspired this band’s name. Fronted by Messrs Wilking und Krämer, two singer-songwriters from Berlin, their pop songs with German lyrics are getting so popular they are – sorry, really, really sorry – riding high. Intriguingly Bukowski, Adam Sandler und Greta Thunberg seem to figure in their new thinking.
